If you are looking for yet just one more excuse to come to Maine's mid-coast to catch the best of the brillliant New England autumn leaves - here it is! On Sunday, October 24, we are all invited to an art opening - only it's palate, not palette being presented! This art opening is a "tasting party" as more than 50 local farms, restaurants and suppliers team up to dish out an unforgettable evening of fine local foods and drinks. "The Art of Local Food" features live music and a breathtaking view of Penobsot Bay and the surrounding palette of Maine's fall foliage from The Summit at Point Lookout in Northport (15 minites north of Camden).
Culinary artists representing some of the mid-coast's premier restaurants including Amalfi on the Water, Atlantica, Cafe Miranda, The Edge, In Good Company, Lily Bistro, Natalie's, and many more are on hand to dish up the freshest of ingredients including fresh fish from the Port Clyde Fresh Catch, cheeses from Mystique Chevre, chicken from Maine-ly Poultry and vegetables from more than a dozen local farms (some from the chef's own gardens).
All proceeds from this event go toward the protection of Maine's environment - keeping the mid-coast pristine and unspoiled and truly an art work of natural beauty!
